1. Pick a theme
Theme parties are a great way to keep everyone entertained and involved. Some great themes to choose from for your party are casino night, Hollywood night, a Housewives of Orange County/ N.J/Atlanta party, an old movie night, bingo or a wine and cheese party.
These ideas are great because you can have competitions if you decide on a game night, or you can dress up if you decide to go with a Housewives or Hollywood party and have prizes for the best costumes.
2. Delegate tasks.
Not only does delegating tasks take some of the pressure off you (or the person) throwing the party, but it gets all of the guests involved. If you have each guest bring their favorite appetizer, bottle of wine or game, you are left with a lot less work and your guests will be able to talk about their ‘famous homemade crab dip’ or favorite pinot noir.
Another reason to delegate tasks is so that everyone can showoff (just a bit) so let them bring something that they love or that they are great at making. Remember this is a single’s party not a party about you so let everyone have their moment to shine.
3. the More the Merrier.
Since you are throwing a singles party, why not have each guest bring a single friend with them. Not only will this add new faces and conversation to your party but maybe you or a guest will find a potential ‘love’ connection. Plus having new faces at your party will show you there are plenty of single’s out there!
4. Keep the games coming!
If you decide on a game night, turn it into a competition and have some sort of prize or gift for the winner(s) this will make your party much more exciting. To spice up an old movie night look up trivia questions prior to watching the movie. This way you can have people pair into teams and while the movie is on ask the trivia questions and the winning team gets a prize.
Prizes and gift incentives are great because it will bring out the competitive nature in your guests and make sure that everyone is participating and having a great time!
5. Create a drink.
Create a tasty and delicious drink for your party. If you are throwing, a Hollywood party pair it with a martini or if you decide on an old movie party mix an old fashioned—just remember to add your own twist to whichever drink you pick!
