Meeting men
Single is a state of mind -- and one that can be fixed. Check out these great spots to meet your next man!
-
At the gym: Work up a sweat, and also know that both of you are vigilant about your health. After, you can go out for dessert!
-
At your local contractor's store -- lumber yard, home improvement store, plumbing/electrical supply -- at 8am on a weekday (if men with tool belts are a turn on).
-
At high-end craft fairs -- in particular, furniture makers and glass blowers are muy macho, but have a sensitive side.
-
At lectures and concerts held at your local college or university — wear something slinky and red, arrive at the last minute, sit alone up front where you'll be noticed,
and sashay to the ladies' room at least once during the performance.
-
Sporting events such as local football or basketball games.
-
At political rallies... but remember, don't mess with religion or politics. These are very important things to have in common.
-
Do you enjoy live music? Go see some hot local indie bands play and maybe you'll meet a fan with similar taste -- or a musician. (If you're into that sort of thing. Ahem.)
-
A jaunt to the bookstore may be in order...you have way better odds of meeting an intelligent mate there!
-
During the recession, the most stably employed are the self-employed. Loiter at a café during the late afternoon, you are sure to find a hottie typing away on his laptop.
- An oldie but a goodie: Happy hour! You may not meet the man of your dreams, but you just may score a martini.
